As promised here is a photo of my signature Pro POWERBAR box sold in stores throughout the world! You can find it in every Target, Rite Aid, or Ralphs grocery store. As part of the "ALL ABOARD" tour I will be doing a skateboarding demo in Mexicali Mexico this weekend. It's always great seeing the good people at Graff Zone skate shop and all of the Mexicali skateboarders. JULY 2011 UPDATE

I am stoked to announce my 1st Place win at ACTIVE Huntington Beach, Ca. They had a huge Game Of Skate contest on June 19th. The last time I had entered an ACTIVE contest was 4 or 5 years ago and I got 2nd in that Game of skate. It was nice to give it another go after some flat ground training and take top honors!

On a side random note I found my old pro signature POWERBAR "Triple Threat" bar boxes on sale on Ebay! Never thought I would see the day. Pretty cool in a weird way seeing them up for auction and seeing people have bid wars over them.

As far as NEW signature product goes for me I am proud to announce I have a NEW POWERBAR box back cover in stores as we speak! Its 10 times better than the last one! Bigger box better flavors and more detail to the packaging image. I will post a picture to them very soon! I am going on tour with STRUGGLE skateboards for the "ALL ABOARD" skateboard tour!

Our first major stop is going to be in Mexicali B.C which is in the great country of Mexico!

APRIL 2011 UPDATE

I have a full length part in the first ever DRISCOLLS shop team video entitled "BEAUTIFUL DISASTER" . Footage from within the last 4 years of my skateboarding can be seen in this video. I put a lot of hard work into it and it is finally done and due to hit shelves Friday May 13th. I will be present at the premier at Driscolls as well as at the 2011 Imperial Valley Film Festival in which "BEAUTIFUL DISASTER" made the final cut and has been confirmed for screening to an entire theater filled with thousands of viewers May 7th in the Imperial Valley mall.

Also I recently finished my 2nd EPIC cameras video part. This time with the EPIC HD camera. Check out the footage below. I really feel it gives skateboarding a new perspective and fresh look. I think these cameras would be fantastic for trick tip videos as well. Seeing as how you can actually see foot placement.

And lastly the amazing people over at STREET SURFING who make "THE WAVE" casterboards hooked me up with one to try out and I got the following footage in 1 day. I had the board for 3 days but pretty much landed the tricks on the actual day we filmed this footage. This board has immensely helped my balance and manuals on my regular skateboard. Seeing as how the casterboard only has two wheels in total I have had to really learn to balance on only one wheel. Also just to kickflip on it is like putting the same amount of pressure as a double kickflip on my regular skateboard. Not only is this board a great training tool for me but it is actually really fun to use and I don't even have to pedal to get around. I definitely recommend you try one out for yourself. It will seem tough at first but when you get the hang of it you will absolutely dig it and wonder why you didn't ride one sooner!

Oh and R.I.P. Nate Dogg! When we made this edit it was actually a day before his death. Later when I found out he had passed away I could not believe it. I grew up listening to Nate Dogg and the soundtrack to "Above the Rim" was the first CD I ever had which included this song "Regulate" and introduced me to the G funk era of hip hop. Nate Dogg holds a big piece of my childhood growing up learning to skate blasting hip hop in my ears. Much respect to him and all others that have passed. I will always be a fan!

GAME ON

I will be at GAME ON next weekend. SATURDAY APRIL 23rd. I will be there with my Struggle comrades ready to be challenged at some rad video games! Everything from Black Ops to Skate 3 ! Be one of the first few to show up and mention "SWORN" to me and I will hook you up with something FREE ! After the game session we will do a skate demo at Ladera Ranch skatepark and then we will be going back to GAME ON for some more gaming. From there we will get our street skating on! You are all welcome to continue the session with us!

MARCH 2011 UPDATE

Stoked to announce that I will be featured on the cover of the new POWERBAR Triple Threat bar boxes for the year 2011. The shots were done in color and look super crisp and epic! My current POWERBAR box cover can be found at Ralphs, Wal Mart, Rite Aid, Target, and Select CVS stores throughout the United States. Also I got a two page spread in the new issue of the PETER GRIMM 2011 catalogue. The spread features my two signature hats "The Elect" and "The Liner". The images on the hats were photographed by me in my hometown of El Centro,Ca on the east side of town where I grew up skateboarding.

Also I recently moved up to Orange County to be closer to my sponsors and crank the skating into overtime. Struggle Skateboards HQ has relocated up here as well and we just got a full office with warehouse to house all operations of my skateboard company. I would like to thank all of my sponsors that have backed me and stuck by me 100% for these past years. Thank You!

Just got back from Houston, Texas to support my brother Diego at the Es Game of Skate world Am finals. And to be a part of the amazing Make A Wish Johnny Romano skate jam. The world famous GrimCity was there documenting the event and featured me in the event coverage video! I pop up at 5:41 Thanks Grim!

My SCOFF pro lace commercial just came out as well check it out below! I am stoked!

Also GrimCity reviewed my signature pro skate laces and gave it an amazing positive review! Thanks for the love Grim! It starts at 9:09

I also am stoked to announce that I got the cover of the new POWERBAR triple threat boxes again for the next coming year! Which will be sold throughout the world at Wal Marts, Rite Aids, and you name it just about every store that carries Powerbar in general.

As for video progress I am 3/4 done with my shop video part for Driscolls and still have a ways to go on the Struggle SWORN video seeing as how everything is being shot in HD now. The video is coming out amazing though! Thanks to everyone out there that has supported my skateboarding and Struggle Skateboards.

Last but not least I have a winner for my "Design a deck contest". I will announce it in my Contest page hopefully by tomorrow or by the end of the week. I had over 300 entries and by the end of it 1 graphic really stood out above the rest. I also picked an honorable mention which I will feature on my website as well. Thank you to everyone out there around the United States that sent one in you are all amazing artists!

I am super proud to say I got the cover of the new PowerBar 5 bar energy boxes. It's the equivalent of getting the cover of a Wheaties box! You can find them at your local Wal Mart, Rite Aid, you name it. Any store that carries the 5 Bar boxes has my box cover in stock. I am on the front and back of the box of the triple threat boxes on every flavor they make.

I landed the cover of LEGITIMATE skateboard magazine issue #2.

Super stoked and I have a 4 page spread inside. Complete with a full interview and sequences. I also made the cover of the website!

The following is my part from the Struggle Skateboards Appetizer promo. It is built up of clips that did not make the cut for the Struggle "SWORN" dvd. Which we are hoping to have out by Late July or early August of 2010.

Also below is my video part for EPIC cameras which will be featured on their website soon. Epic makes amazing action sports cameras. This particular footage was taken from the EPIC wide camera that I attached to my S-One helmet. It gives you an amazing perspective on tricks that you normally do not get to see. Great for learning foot placement on tricks as well.

I would also like to officially announce that I now ride for DRISCOLLS skateshop in my hometown of El Centro,CA. They have supported and backed me for a long time now! I am super proud to be a part of the team and we are currently officially working on a shop video which will be due out sometime within the next 6 to 8 months. Driscolls has played a pinnacle role in my skateboard upbringing. They are the best!

APRIL 2010 UPDATE

I have a full page ad for GLAMOUR KILLS clothing in the newest Transworld Skateboarding magazine May 2010 issue. The whole ad campaign that Glamour Kills has been doing looks amazing!

Also got a full on feature on the BOARD JOY website. Board Joy is like an Ebay but for all things related to board sports. Its an amazing new original type of website that is the first of its kind. You can sell your board or purchase one all through the same website. Check out the site for full features and check out the interview they hooked it up with.

I was also recently the guest reviewer for Legitimate Skateboard Magazines "WORTHY LOOK REVIEW". I did a full on review of Activision's TONY HAWK:RIDE game. The game is the closest you will get to skateboarding without actually going out and skateboarding. I absolutely loved it and I highly recommend it to anyone into skateboarding or into interactive video games. 5 stars!

FEBRUARY 2010 UPDATE

I am proud to introduce my first ever Pro signature skate lace by Scoff Skateboarding. The good people at Scoff threw a signature release party for me and it was tons of fun. Thanks to everyone that came out and supported. I truly appreciate it. My signature laces are black and gold and have the amazing one of a kind Diamond Application Process that makes them the most durable skate laces on earth! They are the first ever pro signature skate lace in the history of skateboarding. Huge thanks to Driscolls skate shop for holding the release party at their shop and thank you to all the skateboarders and supporters that came out and hung out with me and the Scoff crew in the rain!

Scoff also surprised me with a Pro signature limited edition Scoff Mantis shirt. Only 12 made! Each shirt is numbered and it features a gold reflective ink print on the front which is pretty sweet! I am also super stoked to announce that I am now riding for CLEVER griptape! They have also given me and released my first Pro signature griptape graphic for their new line. I will be doing an entire line of 4 griptape designs for them. The awesome graphic below being the first of four to come. I like to call it "Angler Adventure".

The entire new Struggle Skateboards line is rad. We have a whole hometown theme and even gave our Am Diego his own color way on a deck.

I also got the back cover of the new Legitimate skateboard magazine. Its an advertisement for the Struggle Skateboards video "SWORN".

We are super hard at work on this video and the goal is to have it out by late April of 2010.

And lastly the newest news to announce would be the addition of EPIC action video cameras as my newest skateboarding backer. They are an awesome company with an amazing product. I cant wait to post up some sample footage with the cameras in action. They will give skateboarding films an entirely new perspective and I'm pumped to get some rad new clips with them. Happy New Year everyone! Got some big updates! I have been featured in the episode premier of a new show called "The Xchange". Its an artist on artist feature and I am teamed up with my good friend Blake Lewis. Many of you may know him from American Idol. He is an awesome musician with superb beatbox skills. I am honored to be a part of the first episode. Thanks a ton to the great people at POWERBAR for hooking it up! I had a blast on set! You can check out the full episode below. The trick above will be in my Struggle Skateboards "SWORN" part. I am working super hard on my part and pretty much come back from every film trick beaten and worn out. I promise to have a full part. My teammates have slamming parts in progress as well. Tyrone Olson, Anthony Johnson, my baby brother Diego Najera, Mariano Valenzuela, and all the RDT dudes have been seriously ripping. We have a Struggle Skateboards Arizona tour in the near future which will be super rad but for now we are super busy filming for the "SWORN" video giving it 101%.

Since my last update too much as gone on.
Most recently I was featured on the channel 8 news in San Diego county in a cover story for the Olliepop bubble gum company.

The Struggle WEST COASTIN TOUR has come and gone and it was a blast. Seriously nothing but skateboarding 24/7. The trip consisted of Tyrone Olson, Anthony Johnson, Diego Najera, If Feldman, Nick Rodriguez, Isaac Awan, and our photographer John Weaver. We all packed it up in the Olliepop tour van and hit the road for a weeks straight of Autograph signings and skateboarding demos. Massive thanks to Nik over at Olliepop for the van, the villalons and Loon for their hospitality. Septicore magazine was rad enough to do a "Beyond Borders" article on the entire tour for their magazine. Below is the page featured in the magazine. I got a 5-0 photo on the big hubba featured so I'm pretty stoked.

I am also pumped to announce that BUS magazine did a "Product Review" of my pro board for Struggle Skateboards. Check it out below!

AUGUST 2009 UPDATE

Since my last update alot has been going down.
First and foremost Sneaux shoes featured me in there latest full page ad in Transworld skateboarding. Every little image in the word Sneaux is of me either skateboarding or chilling. Pretty rad and I could only imagine how long it took to make. It came out good and the new shoes are amazing. Big ups to Sneaux for all the great things they got coming.

Also my newest Pro board on Struggle Skateboards has been out for a minute now but I completely forgot to post it up on here. Its my "Vacation" board and the story behind it is basically just the fact that I am constantly busy and am always in need of a vacation. The board is a paradise and home away from home. Its an amazing place that I can disappear to. I really like the colors on the board and its somethig completely different than any deck Struggle has ever had in the line. Im stoked and proud of it. For all of you out there that are kind enough and awesome enough to support and have purchased the deck I THANK YOU! And for those that are interested in getting one for themselves you can purchase it at your local Struggle dealing shop or online through the Struggle Skateboards online store. I am also featured on the new Struggle West Coastin posters that are out right now you can also get one of those at the Struggle Skateboards online shop. These posters were given out on the Struggle tour that I just came back from.

Which leads me to speaking about the absolutely AMAZING Struggle West Coastin tour I just got back from with the Struggle Skateboards team. Basically 7 days on the road with four stops and nothing but pure skateboarding and mayhem. We did autograph signings,skateboarding demos, and filmed for the upcoming Struggle video due out very soon. Great times were had and I would like to thank everyone that came on out to any of the spots for your support. Thank you to Nik at Olliepop for hooking it up with the tour van! And thanks to the Villalons, and Loon for your hospitality.

Scoff Skateboarding has posted up a news update of me on their website. Scoff is also in the works of producing my first ever signature "PRO LACE" for their line of amazing one of a kind products.

Transworld Skateboarding also did an article on Board technologies on their business website. They did a full feature story on Struggle skateboards and my pro deck was featured in the article. CHECK IT OUT!

On top of this I havent gotten an issue for myself yet but I was told I have a photo featured in the new Transworld Business magazine alongside a full story about skateboard deck technologies.

And the biggest news of all I am proud to announce that I am officially riding for POWER BALANCE and GLAMOUR KILLS clothing now. Both companies are amazing and I am pumped to represent them to the fullest. Power Balance offers superb products that enhance your balance and improve your skateboarding. Tons has happened since my last update. First off and foremost I am super excited to announce that Powerbar has given me my own product display which can be found at just about every grocery store and convenient store throughout the United States that carries Powerbar. I was bestowed upon me the Triple Threat bars display. Below are photos of the displays as well as a photo of an actual display in a store in Colorado.

I am also officially now riding for HERRON trucks and SNUGGBUDS headphones.

Super stoked to be a part of these two companies.

I have a new SNEAUX ad in Transworld Skateboarding magazine as well I will get that scanned and up soon. As well as tons of other bits that I have received since my last update.

And as for my Struggle video part I am a handful of tricks away from finishing my promo part. And my full length part is in the works still bigtime. I got so many ideas as to what new tricks to do. I have some stuff in mind and on film that I can safely say has never been done before in a skateboarding video. :)

I am currently featured in the latest WHYSPACE section of the January 2008 issue of Transworld Skateboarding magazine. Pretty stoked and surprised because I was flipping through the issue and saw it at a glance. I had no idea it was going to be in there so I am pretty honored that they featured me out of who knows how many hundreds of thousands of WHYSPACE submitters. Check it out!

Also about a month or so ago I did a Music video for recent American Idol winner DAVID COOK. For his first ever music video entitled "Light On". The music video was directed by the legendary Wayne Isham who has made music videos for Metallica, Micheal Jackson,The Rolling Stones,Britney Spears, and to many others to name. The shoot was super fun and I basically busted an all nighter there skateboarding in between breaks on set at like 3:30 in the morning it was way fun! And yes I am the Skateboarder rolling up right in the beginning of the intro.

The segment never aired and I never got to see the footage we shot. In fact the show it was for went under before this segment got a chance to air. SKATEBOARDING

First off I am proud to announce that I have been bestowed with this years PETER GRIMM headwear catalouge cover! I am super excited. Last year I had the back cover and now I got moved up to the front so I am stoked! I also have the table of contents page and various other photos within the catalouge.

Peter Grimm also blessed me with 3 banners at the MAGIC tradeshow in Las Vegas this year!And they are HUGE! I love Peter Grimm! they are the shiznit!!

I also had some photos of mine make it onto the latest SNEAUX postcards!

And SNEAUX blessed me with some photos on their boothe banner as well!! Here I am chilling next to the almighty Sneaux shoes banner! The new shoe line is off the hook! I was seriously blown away by the new line! And for the record Sneaux shoes are the longest lasting skate shoes I have ever skateboarded in.

Sneaux also took some of us out to eat dinner the night of the Asr Tradeshow. For the first time in my life I got to eat some islander type food. The sweet potato fries were bomb!!!!!!!!!!Thanks Sneaux!!!!!

I am also proud to announce the release of my first Pro Model Deck with Struggle Skateboards. It is a part of the newly released "ROAR" series that Struggle is doing. I chose the grizzly bear because I dig those bears. They are mesmerizing and if you ever see one stand up you will know how epic a Grizzly bear is! They would make a 6 foot 2inch tall dude like myself feel like a midget!!

David Cook-Light On

I recently got back from shooting a music video with famous and legendary director Wayne Ishmal!!!! It was more than an honor to work on a project directed with a man of his prestige. He is the director responsible for creating tons of music videos for some of the industries leading artists. To name a few.(Metallica,Bon Jovi,Brittney Spears,Micheal Jackson,Janet Jackson,Rolling Stones,even the Backstreet Boys) The dude can make a music video for just about every genre of music which is incredible. On this project I played a Skateboarder showing up to a diner after a high school football game. The music video is for recent American Idol winner David Cook. So I know this video is going to get some major airtime. No doubt about that. Shoutouts to the homies I made there! Monty for being a chill dude and Kevin for playing skate at 3:30 in the morning waiting for the next scene.

Television Show (CBS)
The Ex List
Prior to shooting the music video I did some work for CBS. Not skate related but just some acting in general. I played an artsy onlooker in an art gallery scene for the CBS show entitled the Ex List. I got to work alongside Kevin Sorbo (hercules) in some scenes. He is a cool ass dude. Real chill and always joking around. Also on set was Elizabeth Reaser from the upcoming movie Twilight and Amir Talai from Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay. Oh yea William Russ who is known as the father from the show Boy Meets World. Overall working on the show was a great experience. I did a couple of other different scenes as well. I guess we will see which ones I get used in. I made some rad homies there as well. Big ups to my homie Dreds and Rich!! Dreds was in the movie Pirates of the Carribean:Black Pearl....he was one of the Tortuga recruits. Super cool dude that plays some awesome music as well.
